The importance of chasing one’s dream by overcoming all obstacles that come in one’s way and the role of music in enriching lives was the theme of the Navrachana Vidyani Annual Concert 2019.
The adaptation of the classic movie ‘The Sound of Music’, took many of the audience members for a trip memory lane including our Chief Guest ,Trustee-NES Mrs. Sandhya Gajjar, (Founder-Member, Heritage Trust, Baroda, Visiting Faculty and Examiner at Faculty of Journalism and Communication, MSU). The Chief Guest in her speech emphasized that students through such programmes will be acquainted with popular classics which have transcended all borders.
The intensive efforts put in by the teachers and students alike was visible in each act, be it the terrific acting, graceful dance numbers, stirring timeless melodies or the euphonious orchestra! It captured the essence of the original timeless lore!
The amazing display of talent, dedication and fervour left the audience simply spellbound with the spectacular extravaganza!
Annual Class Presentation, Day 1…
The students of Grade 2 and Grade 5 had their class presentations, today.
Class 2 students brought back to life the popular fairy tale ‘Snow White and Seven Dwarfs’ while the students of Grade 5 staged one of the heart-warming episodes of ‘Malgudi Days’ written by Late R.K Narayan.
It was a delight to see them confidently deliver dialogues, enthusiastically dance with beautiful expressions.
The students’ and the teacher’s combined effort took this spectacle to another level which was appreciated by Principal Dr. Archana Mishra and the parents too!

Annual Class Presentation
The students of Grades 1-5 got a chance to showcase their talents through their class presentations all of which were based on popular stories and fairy tales.
The 1st graders staged the ever popular ‘The Pied Piper of Hamlin’. The performances of the little ones were stunning, be it their emotive acting, marvellously expressive dances or eloquent narration!
Class 2 students brought back to life the popular fairy tale ‘Snow White and Seven Dwarfs’ while Grade 3 based their act on the classic fairy tale ‘Cinderella’ and kept the audience captivated beyond measure.
Grade 4 brought the wit and humour of Tenali Raman on stage, and the students of Grade 5 staged one of the heart-warming episodes of ‘Malgudi Days’ written by Late R.K Narayan.
The relentless effort by Students and teachers was clearly visible in their Stage presentations. The children left the audience wonderstruck with their evocative dialogues, amazingly graceful dance performances and stirring acting! It was a delight to see them confidently deliver dialogues, enthusiastically dance with beautiful expressions.
Principal Dr. Archana Mishra complimented their impressive presentations. She attributed the events’ success to the collective efforts of the students and their teachers. The parents were spellbound with their children’s performances, their appreciation was clearly borne out by the auditorium reverberating with applause!
Annual Concert 2018
… a quest
Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya provides multiple windows of opportunity so that students might find their own calling on the basis of individual talent and inclination and thereby become the best they can be.
The Annual Concerts are a major initiative in this direction and have always been completely in-house productions, combining art, music, dance, drama, oration and multimedia presentation. Also, like the previous editions, Annual Concert 2018 too was theme-based, sending out a strong message of affirmation and positivity that the ultimate truth of life is that it calls not for perfection, but for completeness. Pegged on a dramatic presentation of the popular lore of Vikram-Betal, the dramatic presentation, involving a staggering 1500 participants, brought home to viewers the Vidyani philosophy that a holistic education, offering a balanced mix of both scholastic and co-scholastic activities, is the pathway to the proper personality development of its students.
The Concert made the point that life presents before us a bouquet of challenges, some of which we can overcome while others we might not. However, this should not lead to a feeling of inadequacy or incompleteness of the self. And the beautiful tree-ringed open-air theatre on the school ground provided the perfect setting to this endeavor to prompt the audience to revel in their everyday successes and to celebrate the beauty all around us, in art and nature!
Chief Guest Dr. Umedsinh Rathod, DEO-Vadodara, also remarked in his speech that the need of the hour was to realize that the main aim of education is the all-round development of young people. The efforts put in by the students was evident in each act, be it song, music, dance or drama, with the result that the event was a resounding success!
Annual Concert 2018 on December 22 was thus our school’s contribution towards offering a value-based education that aims to impress upon young minds the need to cherish the many blessings of life even while they learn from every experience to grow up into balanced and responsible citizens.
